Under my business name WORDCHAMELEON, I offer translation and related services of

Correspondence, memos, notes, reports, proposals, agreements, presentation slides, information brochures, marketing material, newsletters, press releases, product descriptions, website content, software applications, company-internal procedures, manuals, forms, certificates and confirmations, company registration details, scripts, profiles, abstracts, articles, books, theses, personal letters, driver’s licences, birth certificates, marriage certificates, CVs, school certificates, tertiary and further education certificates, police clearance certificates, work references, wills etc.
   

I also do video/movie subtitling (translated or monolingual, incl. spotting) as well as transcriptions of / translations from audio in German and English.

Certified translations (NAATI)

Certified translations will either be sent via post or can be picked up. Most can also be e-mailed as PDF’s.

Please do not send your original document by post; a complete and readable copy via fax or e-mail is usually sufficient.

Please also note that an accredited translator in Australia is not authorised to certify copies of the original certificate itself (unless he/she is a JP - a Justice of the Peace); I can only certify the actual translation.

It is the client’s responsibility to find out whether a translation completed and/or certified by a NAATI-accredited translator is generally accepted at the authority or institution at which it shall be presented.

How long will it take?

A translation of a single personal certificate such as a birth certificate or driver’s licence is usually provided within 2 - 3 business days (within Australia; add about one week for overseas mail deliveries). If you need the translation sooner, don’t hesitate to ask; most of the time this can be arranged. The turnaround time for several documents or any other project completely depends on length and complexity of the source material.

Pricing

Translation assignments vary immensely in volume, complexity, required terminology research, formatting and turnaround time. Therefore, I quote for all projects individually, unless standard rates have been agreed (e.g. with agencies or returning business customers). Just ask me for an obligation-free quote.

Customers outside Australia

Don’t let distance deter you from engaging a translator ‘down under’. The time difference (Brisbane is at GMT/UTC +10) can in fact work to your advantage, and you may pay online using your PayPal account or VISA or Master credit card. A further local payment option is available to customers in Germany.
